1966-05-17 USA Gemini 9 Mission Scrubbed

A GT-9 launch cover featuring the "KSC Officials" stamped cachet proof in blue, postmarked at Cape Canaveral with a hand cancel on May 17, 1966. The scheduled mission, however, was subsequently scrubbed because the Agena target vehicle failed to achieve the required orbit after its engine failed to ignite.
