The Titan II N-31 flight, launched from Cape Canaveral Launch Complex 15 on January 15, 1964, was an important final demonstration of the POGO-suppression system. The flight carried the Gemini-related suppression equipment and also tested the Gemini Malfunction Detection System under actual flight conditions. N-31 successfully demonstrated that the oscillation dampers remained effective even with reduced fuel-tank pressure, confirming the reliability of the POGO solution.
