1962-09-12 USA Test Flight 5 of Titan II

Titan II Missile N-5, launched on September 12, 1962, was successful, but the pogo oscillation—named by NASA engineers for its resemblance to the action of a pogo stick—persisted. The booster could not be considered man-rated until this issue was resolved. Above are two Sarzin covers postmarked at Cape Canaveral on September 12, 1962.
